Lincoln — Earlier this summer, Lili Delgadillo figured out how to help people breathe. The honors student at Columbia River High School completed a weeklong Washington Business Week summer leadership program at Gonzaga University. She participated in the program’s “health care pathway,” a crash course in the business of health care. She learned about careers in the field and also ran a simulated research clinic with seven other high schoolers from around the state, developing what sounds like an ingenious new product idea: chewing gum that prevents asthma attacks. Manufacturing, agribusiness, energy and traditional business pathways are also offered by Washington Business Week summer camp. Visit http://www.wbw.org to learn more. Lili is the daughter of Estaban and Jennifer Delgadillo of Vancouver’s Lincoln neighborhood.
