A man robbed the U.S. Bank on Tuesday afternoon in downtown Camas and fled the area in a green minivan.
The robbery occurred around 12:20 p.m. at 430 N.E. Adams St. The suspect approached a teller, implied he had a weapon and demanded money from her till. The suspect took the cash and ran out of the bank.
Surveillance footage showed him heading north to the parking lot near the paper mill, where the minivan was parked.
Camas, Vancouver and Washougal police and Clark County Sheriff’s deputies thoroughly searched the downtown area for the man. K-9 units were used to track the suspect, but the effort stopped around where the minivan had been parked, said Sgt. Scot Boyles.
Police described the suspect as a white male in his mid to late 20s with a medium build, short brown hair and a goatee.
The Camas Police Department is investigating and asks the public to help identify the suspect. Anyone with information on the man or the robbery can contact the agency at 360-834-4151.
