The Salmon Creek Farmers’ Market kicked off its season Thursday with local farm produce and products from artisans and vendors, along with live music, children’s activities and cooking demonstrations by the Northwest Culinary Institute.
The market runs from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursdays through September behind the Wayside Market and Biscuits Cafe, 1309 N.E. 134th St., just west of Interstate 5. A smaller version of the market is held 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesdays in the courtyard at Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center, 2211 N.E. 139th St. For more information on the market, visit http://salmoncreekfarmersmarket.com.
