Governor names Wecker, Kehoe to Fish and Wildlife Commission
OLYMPIA — The executive director of the Purse Seine Vessel Owners Association has been appointed to the Washington Fish and Wildlife Commission.
Gov. Jay Inslee has appointed Robert Kehoe of Seattle to a vacant at-large position for a term through 2014 and reappointed Miranda Wecker of Naselle to a term running through 2018.
Wecker has served on the nine-member citizen commission since 2005 and has been chair since 2008. She is director of the Marine Program at the University of Washington Olympic Natural Resources Center.
Kehoe, an attorney, joined the purse seine association as general counsel in 1997 and became executive director in 2009. He has served as a commercial fishing industry representative on the Pacific Salmon Commission since 2001.
