Those interested in cat adoption or foster care are invited to a kitten shower hosted at the Humane Society for Southwest Washington from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday.

Kittens will be available for adoption for $50, which includes spay or neuter surgery, a microchip ID system and national registration, vaccinations, animal training information and low-cost pet insurance options.

There is also a need for foster parents to care for kittens too young to be adopted. A foster parent orientation is scheduled from 3 to 4 p.m.

Guests are encouraged to bring donations or drop off items at the front desk.

The kitten shower and foster care orientation are both in the Community Education Room at the Humane Society for Southwest Washington, 1100 Northeast 192nd Ave. in Vancouver.
