Clark County commissioners on Tuesday unanimously selected John Blom to fill a seat on the county’s planning commission.
The commission is responsible for making land-use and planning recommendations to the county commissioners.
All three commissioners agreed to the appointment, saying Blom, a real estate broker, has a history with military operations and his knowledge of planning issues was impressive.
Blom’s term expires at the end of the year, as he is filling a position left vacant by Dick Deleissegues, who served on the board since 1998.
