A 15-year-old boy was injured after he fell riding a longboard while holding onto a car Monday night in Felida.
A 17-year-old boy was driving a Honda Accord about 20 mph, toting two 15-year-old boys holding onto the vehicle in an activity called “skitching,” Clark County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Sgt. Fred Neiman said. Deputies and medical personnel were called at 9:44 p.m. to the intersection of Northwest 141st Street and McCann Road after one of the boys fell and hit his head, Neiman said.
The boy was transported to Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center with injuries that were not considered life-threatening. Neither boy was wearing a helmet.
Neiman said that the deputy did not cite anyone, instead warning the teens about the reckless behavior.
“The deputy on scene talked to the driver and gave him a warning after being convinced that he would not engage in such activity in the future,” Neiman said.
