(Above) Kids cool off by playing 2-on-2 basketball in the Camas Municipal Pool Friday. With warm temperatures expected throughout the week, the pool has expanded its open swim schedule. Daily open swims are from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Evening open swims are from 6 to 7:30 p.m., through Thursday. Admission is $3 for kids and seniors, and $4 for adults.

Trained lifeguards are on duty to make swimming in the Camas Municipal Pool safe for children and adults. A youth summer camp ($60) takes place at the facility, from 4 to 6 p.m., through Friday. There is also a free water aerobics class for boys and girls ages 13 and older Friday, from noon to 1 p.m. Morning and afternoon swimming lessons ($57) are available from July 8 to 18.
