Boys basketball: Ridgefield 51, R.A. Long 48

David Potter scored 13 points in the fourth quarter to lift the Spudders over the visiting Lumberjacks.

Potter hit three 3-pointers during the final quarter, when Ridgefield outscored R.A. Long 17-11 to earn the victory.

R.A. Long led by three at the end of the third quarter, but Ridgefied (8-11, 2-5) forged a five-point lead as the game headed down the stretch.

Josh Mason added 16 points, and was a consistent scorer on the night. A.J. Olson was a key defensive presence inside for the Spudders, according to coach Nick Veys.

Brady Hulings scored 21 points for R.A. Long (3-15, 0-6).
