Ryan Littlefield scored 22 points, and the Monarchs avenged an early-season loss by beating the visiting Panthers.
Mark Morris got points from 11 different players and had command of the game almost from the start.
Nate Adams scored 16 points for Washougal and Sean Guthrie added 10, but the Panthers were no match for the motivated Monarchs.
On Jan. 10 at Washougal, the Panthers beat Mark Morris for the first time in boys basketball, 66-58. Both teams entered Tuesday with one loss in Class 2A Greater St. Helens League games, but only one team played like a championship was on the line.
“No magic tonight,” Washougal coach Malcolm Estes said after his team (12-6, 4-2) fell into a second-place tie with Hockinson in the league standings.
Estes said Mark Morris (14-5, 6-1) established its inside game early, then just kept building on its advantage. The Monarchs led 20-14 after the first quarter, by 11 at halftime, and by 19 after three quarters.
“They did what a championship team should do,” Estes said. “We didn’t play well, and they played extremely well.”
