Girls basketball: Kelso 45, Hudson’s Bay 32

A fast start carried Kelso to the 3A Greater St. Helens League win.

The Hilanders made three 3-pointers in a first quarter that included a 10-0 run for the host team. Kelso led 18-5 after one quarter and 30-13 at halftime.

Despite the loss, the Eagles clinched a spot in the district tournament as a result of Fort Vancouver’s loss to Mountain View.
