Boys basketball: La Center 57, Castle Rock 48, OT

La Center knocked down 10 of 12 free throws in the overtime period as the Wildcats grinded out a tough Trico League road win.

The win moved the Wildcats one game ahead of the Rockets into sole possession of fourth place as La Center tries to improve its district playoff standing with two league games to go.

Jeremiah Arn had 16 points and eight rebounds for La Center.

“Arn stepped up strong with his inside game,” La Center coach Jon Schroeder said. “He’s a real blue-collar worker.”

Wyatt Aguirre added 10 points and A.J. Meyers had eight points and 10 rebounds.
