The Knights turned up their defense in the second half and beat the visiting Cougars in a Class 1A Trico League game.
Four players scored in double figures for King’s Way, led by 20 points from Kyle Gonzales and 19 from Chris Crenshaw. Crenshaw had five of King’s Way’s 10 3-pointers.
Will Nolce-Sheldon led Seton Catholic with 14 points. He scored the Cougars first 12 points on four 3-point baskets, then was limited to only two free throws the rest of the game.
King’s Way outscored Seton Catholic 35-22 after halftime.
“Our second-half defense told the story,” King’s Way coach Butch Blue said. “I was proud of them.”
