Globalization, diversity conference, Feb. 20-22

A policy expert who fights for justice in education and an internationally lauded filmmaker will highlight the ninth annual International Globalization, Diversity and Education Conference Feb. 20-22 at the Heathman Lodge, 7801 N.E. Greenwood Drive. It is sponsored by the Washington State University College of Education.

David Stovall, associate professor of educational policy studies and African-American studies, will deliver the keynote address, “Globalizing the Local: Justice as Interrupting the Grip of Neoliberal Urbanism in Education.” Canadian filmmaker Velcrow Ripper will screen his new film, “Occupy Love.”
