Girls basketball: Union 55, Battle Ground 38

Union 55, Battle Ground 28 — Seven 3-pointers helped the Titans pull away from the host Tigers for the Class 4A Greater St. Helens League win.

Union (12-4, 5-1) led 30-14 by halftime.

Emily Rowe had 13 points and Jessica Chatman scored 11 for the Titans, who had nine players contribute points. Union made outscored Battle Ground 21-3 from beyond the 3-point line.

Three players scored most of the points for Battle Ground (3-12, 1-5). Malory Olson had 12 points and six rebounds, Jossilyn Blackman had 10 points and seven boards, and Haley Hamilton had 10 points, two assists and two steals.
