Preston Brooks needed every point of his career-high night to lead the Falcons over the Trappers.

Brooks scored 29 points and made three free throws in the final eight seconds to give the Falcons the one-point victory. The two teams are now tied for third place in the Class 3A Greater St. Helens Legue with two games to play.

Trailing by two with 8 seconds left, Brooks made one free throw. His second shot missed, but he grabbed the rebound and was fouled again. This time, he was true on both free throws.

Brooks nailed six 3-pointers, including three in the fourth quarter. He had 14 of his 29 in the final period.

Mason Pack had nine points and four blocked shots for Prairie.

Coach Kyle Brooks also credited Jacob Austin for big fourth-quarter minutes on defense. After two players fouled out and with swing players maxing out on their quarters for the night, the Falcons were down to five eligible players.

Matt Delisle led Fort Vancouver with 12 points. Deonte Hawkins had 11 and Will Doty scored 10.
