Two people were taken to a hospital after a car and dump truck collided on state Highway 14 just before noon Monday.

The crash occurred about a half-mile east of Interstate 5, where Maria D. Elizondo, 41, of Vancouver was driving a 2010 Honda Fit eastbound next to a 1990 Kenworth dump truck.

Elizondo and her passenger Carlos Elizondo, 17, also of Vancouver, were both taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center.
