The Health Systems Quality Assurance Division of the state Department of Health recently took disciplinary actions or has withdrawn charges against these Clark County health care providers.

In November, the Medical Commission continued a probation order against physician Patrick K. Chau. He failed to keep appropriate patient records, or follow proper prescribing practices.

In December, the Nursing Assistant Program entered into an agreed order with certified nursing assistant Angela P. Winther and placed her certification on probation for two years. She was convicted of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver (methamphetamine) and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver (marijuana). She also tested positive for methamphetamine and marijuana following a workplace drug test.
