A school bus was involved in a crash with a car early Friday morning, sending the driver of the car to the hospital.
The driver of a Camas School District school bus heading south on Northeast Everett Street turned left onto Northeast 49th Avenue and failed to yield to a northbound gray Mazda 3 causing the collision about 7:30 a.m., Camas Police Sgt. David Chaney said.
The driver of the Mazda 3, Michael Devaney, 30, of Camas, was transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, Chaney said. Neither the bus driver nor the 47 children inside were injured.
Chaney said that the driver of the bus, Denise Mills, 49, was cited for failing to yield while making a left turn.
