Loris Hervey had 16 points, Matt Delisle scored 15, and Deonte Hawkins was credited for his floor presence in Fort’s win at Kelso.
The Trappers were 21 of 44 from the floor, 48 percent.
“That’s as good as we shot the ball all year,” Fort coach Scott Thompson said. “We’re not a good shooting team. For our guys to get rolling like that …”
Thompson said Hawkins was the key. The point guard had four assists, but more importantly, zero turnovers.
“I said, ‘If we can take care of the ball, everything is going to be just fine.’ That’s what he did,” Thompson said. “He took care of the ball and got everybody else involved.”
