Girls basketball: Hockinson 37, R.A. Long 24

Hockinson held host R.A. Long to eight points in the second half to pull away for a win in a Class 2A Greater St. Helens League game.

Katelyn McGuire scored 12 points and had eight rebounds to lead Hockinson. The Hawks limited R.A. Long post Sarah Luedke to two field goals and 10 points.

R.A. Long led 16-13 at halftime thanks to a 3-pointer at the Buzzer from Jacki Smith. But Hockinson outscore R.A. Long 11-2 in the third quarter to take control.
