The Hudson’s Bay Eagles picked up their first league win of the season with a dominating defensive performance Tuesday in Kelso, winning 50-24.
“Let’s get our first league win. That was my main motivation,” Bay coach Robert Key said. “That first league wins means a lot. That was very rewarding. The kids are paying attention to detail.”

Bay suffocated Kelso, allowing 24 points in a 50-24 Class 3A Greater St. Helens League boys basketball victory.T.J. Brumfield led Bay with 11 points and nine rebounds.Jacob Buslach had nine points and was credited for his defense against Kelso’s top threat Aaron Adams.
“I asked everybody who wants the assignment,” Key said. “Buslach stepped up and said, ‘I want it.'”
