King’s Way ruled the third quarter and that was pretty much the deciding factor against White Salmon.

“We jumped on them in the third quarter and played some really good defense and kept them from scoring very much,” King’s Way coach Butch Blue said.

Two would be not very much.

King’s Way outscored White Salmon 12-2 in the period to turn a three-point lead into 13.

Jay Becker scored 17 points to lead King’s Way. Kienan Walter had 14 points and five rebounds. Kyle Gonzalez had 10 points and four assists.

Blue also credited Chris Crenshaw for playing a strong defensive game.
