A strong finish lifted the host Trappers to the win in a hard-fought 3A Greater St. Helens League contest.
Loris Hervey scored all 10 of his points in the fourth quarter for Fort (6-5, 2-1), which won by outscoring Prairie 15-8 over the final eight minutes.
K-Last Karue, playing in his first game of the season because of a broken hand, gave the Trappers a lift. He had four points to go with nine rebounds three steals and three assists. He also took three charging fouls.
“He doesn’t need to score,” Fort coach Scott Thompson said. “He does a little bit of everything for us to help us win.”
Tre Eisenhut scored 10 points for Fort Vancouver, which had eight players contribute points.
The Trappers had a significant advantage at the foul line, shooting 26 free throws to only eight for the Falcons (8-5, 1-2) and outscoring their guests 15-4 from the stripe.
