The Plainsmen had four players score in double figures as Evergreen built a 26-point lead through three quarters of the 4A GSHL opener.
Jalen Ballard and Robert Franks led Evergreen with 16 points each, and Jahmil Johnson added 15. Andrew Morris had a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds.
Tim Hergert had 39 points for Heritage, including 18 of the Timberwolves’ 23 first-half points.
“We executed our game plan very well,” Evergreen coach Brian Witherspoon said. “We ran three different defenses at them tonight, and we ran each of them very well. It was a good start to the league season.”
