Clark County sheriff’s deputies are investigating an armed robbery of a convenience store in Hazel Dell on Wednesday afternoon.

A man walked into Discount Tobacco & Beverage, at the corner of Northeast Highway 99 and Northeast Minnehaha Street, about 2:30 p.m. and displayed a pistol before leaving with an undisclosed amount of cash, Sgt. Fred Neiman said.

The suspect is described as a white man wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and blue bandana.

Deputies set up a perimeter and used a police canine to track the suspect, who left on foot, but were unable to find the man, Neiman said.

Those with information on the armed robbery are asked to call the sheriff’s office west precinct at 360-397-6079.
