Union: Titans finished second in the Class 4A Greater St. Helens League, but then won the district tournament with a victory over league champion Skyview. That gave Union the top seed from Southwest Washington into the bi-district tournament. Union took advantage, winning its first two games to qualify for regionals. However, the Titans are on a two-game losing streak after falling in the semifinals of bi-district and then the third-place game.
Gonzaga Prep (Spokane): Ranked No. 4 by the Seattle Times. The three losses have all come against No. 2 Mead.
Girls: Prairie (21-3) vs. Bellevue (23-2)
Class 3A Mount Tahoma Regional in Tacoma
6 p.m. Friday at Mount Tahoma HS in Tacoma
Prairie: The Falcons were riding high on a 12-game win streak and a No. 1 ranking by the Seattle Times. But then they faced No. 3 Wilson on Monday. Clearly, the rankings will be reversed. Wilson beat the Falcons handily in the championship game of the bi-district tournament. The Falcons will have to shake off that loss in order to focus on this game. Prairie has reached the state tournament 15 consecutive seasons. The Falcons need this win to extend that streak.
Bellevue: Ranked No. 5 by the Seattle Times. One of the losses was to No. 4 Seattle Prep.
Girls: Woodland (21-3) vs. Cascade Chr. (20-1)
Class 1A Mount Vernon Regional
6 p.m. Friday at Mount Vernon High School
Woodland: Woodland only lost twice in the regular season, then had to survive a loser-out game in district to advance to regionals. The Beavers were ranked sixth by The Associated Press in the final poll of the season.
Cascade Christian (Puyallup): The tough news for Woodland? Cascade Christian was ranked No. 1 in AP’s final poll. The good news? Cascade Christian is beatable. The team lost its last game to Lynden Christian.
Boys: Columbia River (17-6) vs. Lincoln (20-3)
Class 3A Mount Tahoma Regional in Tacoma
6 p.m. Saturday at Mount Tahoma HS in Tacoma
Columbia River: These Chieftains earned this trip to the sweet 16, with the seniors seeing improvement every year at Columbia River. District champions last year, the Chieftains went 0-2 at the bi-district and failed to qualify for regional. District champions this year, the Chieftains again lost in their first game, but then regained focus to win the loser-out game Saturday to qualify for this event.
Lincoln (Tacoma): On a roll after winning the Class 3A West-Central/Southwest Washington bi-district tournament.
Boys: Hockinson (14-10) vs. Sequim (20-4)
Class 2A Kent Meridian Regional in Kent
4 p.m. Saturday at Kent Meridian HS
Hockinson: These Hawks just won’t go away. They finished third in the five-team 2A Greater St. Helens League. They lost their first game at the district tournament. They were done, right? Nope. They are on a roll, winning three consecutive loser-out games to make it to regionals.
Sequim: Just reached the West-Central district finals. Ranked 7th in the state by the Seattle Times but lost to No. 5 Clover Park in that title game.
Boys: La Center (17-8) vs. Cedar Park Christian (19-3)
Class 1A Mount Vernon Regional
4 p.m. Saturday at Mount Vernon HS
La Center: The Wildcats might not be the favorite in this one, but they have to be feeling good about themselves when it comes to clutch games. La Center won three elimination games in the district tournament, then added a victory in the seeding game.
Cedar Park Christian (Bothell): Ranked No. 4 by The Associated Press.
Boys: Columbia Adventist vs. Moses Lake Christian
Class 1B Eastmont Regional in East Wenatchee
8 p.m. Saturday at Eastmont HS
Columbia Adventist: The Kodiaks are looking to make it to state for the second time. They also made it in 2011.
Moses Lake: Moses Lake is a mainstay at state, having reached the final tournament in each of the past seven seasons.
