Cascade Park — The Vancouver-area community — from businesses to individuals — continues to support Evergreen Public Schools after Crestline Elementary burned down this month, displacing more than 500 students. • Umpqua Bank is contributing $2,500 to purchase books. It is accepting donations of school supplies at its Clark County locations. A donation account was also created at its downtown location, 1400 Washington St.
• Fifth-graders at Vancouver’s Peter S. Ogden Elementary held a “Quarters for Crestline” fundraiser. Students brought in quarters to buy paper schoolhouses to decorate and display at their school. The kids raised $329.
• Camas’ Furuno USA donated 360 binders and 144 backpacks. Money from Furuno employees was used to buy the bags. The company also gave $500.
