Construction at the northern convergence of Interstate 5 and Interstate 205 will close one ramp for two nights this week, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.

Crews will completely close the ramp from Northeast 134th Street to northbound I-5 and I-205 in Salmon Creek. The ramp will close at 10 p.m. both Thursday and Friday nights, opening again at 5 a.m. each of the following mornings, according to WSDOT.

During the closures, drivers can access northbound I-5 through the interchanges at Northeast 99th Street or Northeast 179th Street.

The closures will allow workers to install concrete barriers while continuing drilling work on a new interchange at Northeast 139th Street. Crews will also build a new bridge carrying 139th over the freeways, part of the $133 million Salmon Creek Interchange Project.
