Happy Valentine’s Day! Still not a whole lot of weather news to talk about. Some computer forecast models hint of cooler weather next week and maybe some low elevation snow but it could just be a bust. Not much moisture; not a lot of cold either. It looks like any chance for severe winter weather is about over.
With the month half over, how are we doing weather-wise for Vancouver? The average mean temperature is 42.8 degrees, .2 degrees below average. Precipitation as of 4 p.m. Wednesday is at .20 of an inch, nearly two inches below average. Another dry month for sure and perhaps we will end up close to average on the temperatures by the end of the month.
I wonder if March will come in like a lamb or a lion. If the current trend continues, we’re likely to see a sheepish start to March. I haven’t heard many complaints about the weather except most would like a bit more sunshine and warmer temperatures, while children would like to get a flurry of snow before spring arrives.
