Northeast Hazel Dell: The Master Gardener Foundation of Clark County has awarded more than $28,000 in grants to horticulture programs and projects in the county. Some of the programs benefitting from the grants include: Heritage Farm Community Garden, Second Step Housing, Mill Plain Elementary Garden School and Washington State University’s Growing Groceries Program. The Master Gardener Foundation raises most of the money for its yearly grant distributions through an annual plant sale on Mother’s Day weekend. The foundation teams with Clark County and Washington State University to promote research-based horticultural practices and education.
