Madison Crockett of Skyview girls bowling was voted The Columbian’s high school athlete of the week for the week of Jan. 28-Feb. 2 in a vote by fans on Facebook.
Crockett collected 47 percent of the 472 votes cast to beat out Emma DuChesne of Mountain View girls basketball, who had 31 percent.
Crockett became the fourth Clark County bowler to win the Class 4A state championship with a six-game total of 1,324 (221) average to win by 57 pins.
The other nominees were La Center boys basketball player Wyatt Aguirre, Heritage gymnast Nicole Moss and Evergreen wrestler Ramon Ortiz.
