Fire officials are investigating the cause of an early morning fire that destroyed a mobile home near Battle Ground Lake on Monday.

Crews from Clark County Fire District 3 and Clark County Fire & Rescue responded to a reported fire at 23914 N.E. 182nd Ave. at 5:55 a.m. and found the mobile home engulfed in flames, Battalion Chief Scott Sorenson said.

Firefighters had the blaze contained within 20 minutes but continued to work to mop up the fire.

No one was home when firefighters arrived, and no injuries were reported.

Damage is estimated at $12,000 to the structure and $46,000 to the property inside, according to the Clark County Fire Marshal’s Office. The office hasn’t yet determined the cause.

Clark County property records indicate the property owners are David and Marieke Kemper.
