Girls basketball: Battle Ground 35, Evergreen 27

The Tigers pulled even with the Plainsmen for the last playoff spot in the Class 4A Greater St. Helens League.

Haley Hamilton finished with 12 points and Battle Ground (5-13, 3-6) outscored host Evergreen 12-6 in the fourth quarter to secure the win.

For the third game in a row, Evergreen (10-9, 3-6) played without several starters for disciplinary reasons. Plainsmen coach Jay Foreman said he will decide over the weekend whether to re-instate those players for Tuesday’s final regular-season game.

Moriah Doyle led Evergreen with 13 points.
