The Battle Ground Tigers earned a start-to-finish win over Evergreen, knocking the Plainsmen out of first place in the Class 4A Greater St. Helens League.
In the process, the Tigers now have a shot at tying for second place.
Jamie Ford scored 13 of his 22 points in the fourth quarter, and the Tigers were lights out from the free throw line in the 65-58 victory.
Daniel Duong ended up with 17 points, including a back-breaking 3-pointer in the final minutes for the Tigers.
Battle Ground improved to 6-3 in league play, a game behind Evergreen.
The Plainsmen, 7-2, host 8-1 Union on Tuesday. If Evergreen wins, it will claim a co-league title with the Titans. But if the Plainsmen lose, they could fall into a tie with Battle Ground.
Robert Franks led Evergreen with 15 points. Jahmil Johnson and Andrew White each scored 14.
Battle Ground made 28 of 32 free throws. Ford, in fact, was 11 of 12 from the line in the fourth quarter.
