DAYTON, Ohio (AP) — Hot-shooting Dayton held Winthrop to a season-low in points in an 81-47 victory on Wednesday.
Khari Price and Jalen Robinson scored 11 points each and Devin Oliver, Devon Scott and Vee Sanford added 10 apiece for the Flyers (11-3), who hit 32 of 54 shots for 59.3 percent.
Dayton had a significant height advantage, dominating the boards 37-23 and outscoring the Eagles 46-12 in the paint. The four Flyers who shared the post combined for 27 points and 15 rebounds. The Flyers turned 15 Eagles turnovers into 21 points.
The Eagles’ previous low point total this season was 56. Andre Smith was the only player for the Eagles (6-6) to hit double figures with 11.
Ahead by two midway through the first half, the Flyers outscored the Eagles 23-12 to end the half leading 41-28. A 15-3 run left the Flyers up by 30 with 4:53 left in the game.
