COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Tim Tebow says he is not done with the NFL even though helping ESPN launch the SEC Network was too good an opportunity to pass up.
The 26-year-old Tebow repeatedly stressed Tuesday he will continue training in hopes of returning to the NFL as a quarterback. In the meantime, he’ll be a Southeastern Conference analyst on the new network’s “SEC Nation” pregame show that will travel to SEC schools starting in August.
The Heisman Trophy winner with the Florida Gators led Denver to an NFL playoff victory in 2011, then was traded the next season to the New York Jets where he languished as an unused backup until his release last April. He was then signed by New England, but was cut before the season began.
