Incoming councilors plan swearing-in ceremonies

Alishia Topper will be sworn in Tuesday as a Vancouver City councilor, according to a city news release issued Monday. Anne McEnerny-Ogle, the other new member of the council, will be sworn in Wednesday.

Councilors are able to decide when and where they would like to be sworn in.

Topper’s ceremony, 2 p.m. Tuesday, will be in the lobby of Vancouver City Hall, 415 W. Sixth St.

McEnerny-Ogle will be sworn in 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Vancouver Firefighters’ Hall, 2807 N.W. Fruit Valley Road.

Their first meeting as councilors will be 7 p.m. Monday at City Hall.
