Stephanie McDonagh’s free throw with four seconds to play in overtime helped lift the Storm to victory in the third-place game of the Nike Interstate Shootout in Lake Oswego.

After falling in the semifinal on a last-second shot Sunday, the last-second victory on Monday was solid redemption.

“It was a great learning experience for all of us,” Skyview coach Jennifer Buscher said of her team’s four tournament games. “I’d rather lose now than in the postseason. We played more together, and more confident, and just got better in each game.”

Buscher said it was the Skyview defense, as well as rebounding that helped produce the win.

Aubrey Ward-El led all scorers with 23 points, and McDonagh had 10.
