ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. (AP) — Matthew Wright scored 23 points and St. Bonaventure defeated Delaware 80-73 on Monday night.
Youssou Ndoye added 15 points and a career-high six blocks in the Bonnies’ second win in a row.
The Bonnies (9-4) took the lead for good early on and were up 40-28 at halftime thanks to 50 percent shooting that included 11 points from Wright.
A 3-pointer by Kyle Anderson got the Blue Hens (6-7) within 73-66 with 2:54 remaining in the game. Neither team scored again until Wright’s jump shot with 39 seconds left. Anderson made another 3-pointer to close the gap to 75-69 with 33 seconds left but the Bonnies kept their distance down the stretch with a three-point play and a dunk by Ndoye.
Anderson finished with 23 points for the Blue Hens, making seven of his 12 3-point attempts. Devon Saddler added 18 points and Davon Usher 17.
