RADFORD, Va. (AP) — Javonte Green had 22 points and nine rebounds to lead Radford in an 80-51 victory over Division III Houghton on Monday night.
Radford (9-4) opened the game on a 15-6 run and never trailed in the first meeting between the schools. After a 15-3 run to start the second half, Radford led 52-27 and cruised from there. R.J. Price added 12 points and five assists, as well as three of Radford’s 14 steals.
Since transitioning to Division I in the 1984-85 season, Radford is 59-6 against non-Division I opponents.
Matthew Ball led Houghton with 13 points and Brandon Camacho added 11. Houghton turned the ball over 21 times, gave up 16 offensive rebounds and struggled to keep pace as a result.
Radford had a 62-48 advantage in field goal attempts and a 24-9 advantage in free throw attempts.
