Salmon Creek — The Legacy Salmon Creek Foundation benefited from more than $15,000 given to them by the charitable Fred Meyer Fund. The recent award was part of nearly $347,000 collected from Fred Meyer customers between Aug. 18 and Nov. 9, according to a press release. The money will go toward cancer research and awareness. Customers dropped money in coin boxes at checkout stands.
