Community notebook: Lacamas swim team third at meet

The Lacamas Headhunters age-group swim team placed third at the Hillsboro Jubilee Swim Meet Dec. 13-15.

Eric Wu earned the high-point trophy for the 12-and-younger age division. Among his swims was a career best time of 2 minutes, 0.6 seconds in the 12-and-under 200-yard freestyle.

Jaden Kim won the 12-and-younger 50 butterfly with a time of 30.1 seconds.

Sruthi Ravi led a 1-2-3 Headhunters finish in the girls 12-and-younger 100 backstroke. Her winning time of 1:03.9 is the second fastest in Oregon so far this season for her age division. Stephanie Hake and Bailey Segall were second and third.Headhunters teams won both the boys and the girls 12-and-younger 200 medley relay races. The boys time was 2:00.30. The girls time was 2:00.40.

Basketball camp at Hudson’s Bay

The Hudson’s Bay Girls Basketball Team is holding a basketball camp for grades 2-8. Cost is $65.

The date of the camp is Dec. 26-27-28, from 9 a.m. to noon. There will be a special guest appearance by former Portland Trail Blazer Michael Harper.
