HOCKINSON — Fire District 3 dedicated its training room at station headquarters in Hockinson to the Bellcoff family, which served the fire district and community for more than 115 years.
Jim Bellcoff helped established the original Hockinson volunteer fire department in 1947. He served as a volunteer firefighter and fire commissioner, along with Roy Bellcoff.
Roger, Scott, and Steve Bellcoff served several years as volunteer firefighters.
The current board of fire commissioners dedicated the Bellcoff Community Room at a Dec. 16 board meeting and presented the family with a plaque.
