Southwest plans new PDX daily, seasonal services

Southwest Airlines announced Monday that it will offer twice-daily nonstop flights connecting Portland International Airport with San Diego.

The airline also said it will offer new seasonal service between Portland and Baltimore and Houston Hobby, and will expand seasonal nonstop service to Austin to once-daily flights. All of the new services will go into effect June 8.

Under the new service between PDX with San Diego International Airport, flights will depart Portland at 8:55 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., with return flights at 8:55 a.m. and 6:05 p.m.

Daily season flights from Portland to Baltimore/Washington International will depart Portland at 1:05 p.m., with a return flight at 9:45 p.m.

Seasonal service to Houston Hobby Airport will leave Portland at 9:05 a.m. with a return flight at 3:46 p.m.
