Girls basketball: Evergreen 54, Ridgefield 31

Evergreen jumped to an 18-4 lead after one quarter and cruised from there.

Moriah Doyle had 15 points two days after Evergreen (7-1) suffered its first loss to Aloha at a Portland tournament.

“We needed a bounceback victory,” Evergreen coach Jay Foreman said. “It was good for us to get back on the court and prove that we’re a solid team.”

Lexi Burney had 10 rebounds, eight of them on the offensive glass. Vella Jackson had nine rebounds and eight points.

Shannon Boyle had 15 points to lead Ridgefield.
