Boys basketball: Washougal 65, Prairie 59

David Wallace, Dan Davis and Patrick Jones all came off the Panthers bench for key contributions as Washougal picked up its first win of the season.

Wallace helped bring Washougal back from a 14-3 deficit by making three 3-pointers. Prangley scored a team-high 14 points in three quarters of action, and Davis had 10 points and played solid defense. Patrick Jones had a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds.

Washougal found success by switching from a zone defense to man-to-man to help control the game’s tempo.

James Phillips led Prairie in scoring with 15 points, and Cairo Jackson had 14.
