A Vancouver man was arrested on suspicion of DUI after the car he was driving crashed into a utility pole early Sunday morning.
Washington State Patrol said Chersky A. Lopez, 39, was eastbound at 4 a.m. in a 1989 Volvo 740 on state Highway 500 approaching Falk Road at a high rate of speed. He failed to negotiate a turn onto southbound Falk and hit the pole, the WSP report said.
Lopez was treated at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center and then released, a hospital spokeswoman said Sunday.
The patrol said speed contributed to the accident.
