Clark County burn ban lifted

Local officials have lifted a countywide burn ban due to favorable weather patterns and improving air quality, according to the Southwest Clean Air Agency.

The restriction, which took effect last week, ended at 10 a.m. this morning, according to the agency. That means Clark County residents can again use their wood stoves and fireplaces, though they are asked to do so as cleanly as possible.

Rain is expected in the county later this week, which should continue to improve air quality. Officials will continue to monitor conditions, according to the clean air agency.
