Blazer Beefs
Meyers Leonard gets on this week’s edition of Blazer beefs for getting thrown out of Saturday’s blowout win against the Philadelphia 76ers.
Leonard got in a scuffle and took down Philadelphia’s Daniel Orton. Orton then elbowed Leonard in the jaw and both were ejected. The NBA suspended Leonard for Sunday’s game against Detroit for the “body slam” on Orton. Orton was also suspended.Leonard’s ejection forced Stotts to play Joel Freeland the rest of the game. Leonard certainly wasn’t looking to get ejected but when your opportunities are few and far between, you can’t waste them by getting into a meaningless scrum.
Blazer Bravos
Another week, another three-point shooting record for the Blazers. They set a franchise high with 21 made threes and were two threes shy of the NBA record in their win at Philadelphia. Also, the Blazers avenged their worst loss of the season by beating the Houston Rockets on national television. LaMarcus Aldridge put together an MVP performance with 31 points and 25 rebounds against Houston’s Dwight Howard.

The amount of 30-point, 20-rebound games LaMarcus Aldridge has had in his career. No other Blazer has more than two in the franchise’s 43-year history.
